Day 1: Drive from Gonder to Simien Mountains National Park
In the morning after breakfast Drive from Gondar to the Siemen National Park a Unesco recorded world natural heritage site. On the way we will make a stop At Debark (2800 M) to collect The guide , cook , Scouts and permission after paying the necessary fees to the park office . Here We will collect All the necessary Items for the next days of our Trekking. Then We will continue our drive in to the Park.The simein mountain is found above 3000 M sea level and in many cases trekker’s need to be Acclimatized to the high altitude of the area on the first day. On this day you will do a small trekking of 2 hrs to Sankaber Campsite (3200 M). It has a stunning view over the valley, mountain range, and see the endemic gelada baboon troops. Arrive in Sankaber.

Day 2: Trek Sankaber – Geech
In the morning after breakfast you will starts the trek with a gentle stroll through the Erica heather that hangs on white lichen and mosses, it resembles with a white beard of an old man. From Sankaber (3200 M) you will Trek to Gich (3600m) After 2-3 hours of trek you will reach the seasonal Jinbar water fall or Nigus Aysmush View point, although it is little or no water in the dry season it is a very Impressive 500 Meter deep fall. Usually the rare and graceful lammergeyer will be spotted, while soaring in search of food. We take a break at the river and have a picnic lunch before we start passing through a wounderful views of simen mountains range and ascend gradually on an undulating trail for 2-3 hours to reach the village of Geech where we will camp for overnight.

Day 3: Trek from Geech to Chennek
Early morning After Break Fast leave Gich camp sit to chenek. The trek will take from 7- 8 hrs. passing through One of the most scenic and spectacular trails in the National park. This route takes you to Imet Gogo View Point (3,926 m ) where you will be rewarded with 360 degree spectacular Views in to the lowlands , valleys, canyon, and the mountains range.
From Imet Gogo you will trek Chenek viewing the canyon, ridges and valleys and stop at the next view point at Innateye (4,070 m) before continue trekking to chenek (3,600m). Chennek, is the best place to see the Indemic Walia Ibex and the rare Ethiopian Wolf.

Day 4: Trek Chenneck – Ambiko
In the early morning we start trakking from Chennek to Buwhait Pass, where we may encounter the endemic Walia Ibexes (capra ibex) again, the treeking has a climbing of about 600m and a steep Hike to reach Bwahit Rass (about 4,430m) . It allows you to have a great view of the Ras Dashen mountain (4543m), the highest peak in Ethiopia. We will trek down into Meseha river and Valley then climb up again to Ambiko. This trek has a total ascent of 945m, and a total descent of 1,400m. The highest point of the day is 4,200m and the lowest is 2,800m.

Day 5: Trek Ambiko – Ras Dashen – Ambiko
Today is the best day we will be at the highest peak in Ethiopia, Ras Dashen Mountain (4543 M). some times called the roof of Africa. We eat breakfast befor sun rise and start trekking through the valley. When we reach the mountain it will become steeper and steeper. Climbing is hard and become challenging to reach the Summit. Once you reach the Summit you will be rewarded with an amazing views of the whole area. Trek Back to Ambiko Camping site. The Total ascent and descent of this trek is 1,300m.

Day 6: Trek Ambiko (3200 m) to Chennek (3600 m)
Today is our last trek in the simein national park but not the last night we need to reach back to chenek campsite for overnight. It will be about an 8 hrs. Trekking ahead of us. We go down in to Mesha valley and cross the Meseha River (2,750m) before climbing again to Buwahit Pass (4430 M) . We cross through the Chiroloba Village. From The village to Chennek camp site it take us bout 1 hr. trekking.

Day 7: Chennek- Gondar- Addis Abeba
In the morning After a good breakfast and rest, we start driving from Chenek to Gonder With a scenic view through the Siemien mountain National Park, via Debark town before continuing on to reach Gondar.

Overnight Gondar or fly back to Addis Ababa
Day 8 Mekle – Dodom-Ertale
The Most inhospitable place on Earth the Danakil Depression lies in the Great Rift Valley that will bisect Africa continent in to three tectonic plates in million years. The two plates move in opposite direction while the middle is getting down. Here is how the fascinating geological formation of Danakil depression is formed.
On your first day in the Danakil we will drive to Dodom base camp to get to the volcano base camp. The 4×4 wheel cars stand the Challenging landscape of solidified lava, rock and Sand passing through 70 KM of one the worst road.
After reaching the base camp you will take rest until the sun is gone and not heating up any more you will have an early dinner at 5 PM and start the trek to ertale volcano you will reach at the summit of the volcano after 3 hours. Now you are having yourself a fascinating live lava lake it is more like seeing the core of the earth. It is very spectacular show and so amazing sound.
Please note- the volcano erupted last year you may not see pictures that are similar to photographs in websites.

Day 9 Ertale – Dodom – Hamedla
Early in the morning before the sun hit you will trek down to the base camp. After breakfast you will drive back to Hamedla you will walk in the village of the people and see their life, view Camel Carvan. You should know that Salt was very valuable and once salt bars were used as a currency of exchange in Ethiopia . This tradition of carvan of camels caring salt bars may have thousands of years history.

Day 10 Hamedela to Dalol – Mekele
Drive from Hamedela to Dalol It is the lowest point below sea level in the geological depression that has resulted from the divergence of three tectonic plate. On the way you will see Lake Assale where salt is mined and camel caravans taking stone salt bar to the highland. Drive and walk on flat salt field , see hot spring pools etc… Generally Dallol is a lunar like land scape full of colors yellow green blue orange. That all comes from sulfur, potassium, iron and other different minerals formed on top by the bubble of hot spring .
